Redesigning and speeding up a phone diagnostic tool for Hyla Mobile

Hyla’s original phone diagnostic white label app was an enterprise tool. This time around, they needed an experience that would appeal to a younger, more tech-savvy demographic and would only take about a minute or two to complete.

My Approach

I began this project with an audit of the original diagnostic app. This involved going through the diagnostic test and sketching out all of the steps involved in the process. I was already noticing several areas where we could make improvements to the flow.

I began this project with an audit of the original diagnostic app. This involved going through the diagnostic test on my phone and sketching out the steps and screens involved in the process. I also took screenshots of each individual screen. There were a total of about 36 screens. I was already noticing areas where we could make improvements to the flow.
